OUR MISSION:
We are a Christian ministry with a very clear goal--to educate the church about false teachers, false religions, and blatant heresies that are being ushered into our midst today. Many of them are being introduced into the church from those who profess to be our Christian brethren (just as Holy Scripture warned us about nearly 2000 years ago). “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.” (2 Peter 2:1-2)
We examine these aberrant and damnable doctrines and compare them with the written, inspired Word of God. We believe that biblical truth, communicated in the spirit of agape love and concern for our fellow man, is the primary mission of this ministry. "Prove all things, hold fast that which is good." (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
We hold dearly to a strong statement of Christian faith and believe that is the only way to abundant blessings and eternal life. Our examinations of cultic thought are based entirely on the inspired and authorized King James Version of the Holy Bible. Time tested and proven, it has been shown to be an anvil that has worn out a million hammers!
Perilous times lie ahead for Christianity! Compromising the Gospel is now the rule rather than the exception, and many Christian soldiers have fallen asleep. Many do not understand the biblical requirements to test the spirits and judge all things according to God's Word! “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” (John 7:24) “Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.” (1 Corinthians 14:29)
This failure by the church to follow these simple commands has permitted an outright slaughter of those doctrines that the orthodox Christian Church has always held so dear. It is time for the church to wake up and take a firm stand against those who are trying to destroy it.
MINISTRY PROFILE:
Our ministry came into being in January of 1996 under the direction of Larry Hall. He has presented God's Word to the church through this website and monthly newsletters, group presentations, and over the airwaves. His deep-founded faith in the Living God has given him the strength to spread the message to the church. Mr. Hall has been attacked publicly and privately, but he has engaged the followers of lies with nothing but the simple truth.
OVERVIEW:
The articles written for this website have been carefully documented. They are meant to be an uncompromising answer to heresy and false teachings. Important doctrines of the major cults are examined and compared with Scripture. In this website you will find articles about the Mormon Church, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Masonic Lodge, and others. You will find some amazing similarities between each of these cults as we compare their origins, symbols, and doctrines with those found in witchcraft and Satanism.
We also examine the most dangerous threat to Christianity to surface in modern times--the cultic thought proposed by the Word of Faith Movement (also known as the Positive Confession or “name-it-and-claim-it” crowd).
All of us at Sword of the Spirit Apologetics hope that our readers will examine each article in light of God’s Word. Pray for discernment in these matters! If you have been deceived by one of the cultic groups portrayed in this website, you will probably have some decisions to make about how you will handle this information. The Bible is quite specific about how we should all handle the heretics in our midst:
MARK THEM AND AVOID THEM--"Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them." (Romans 16:17)
SEPARATE YOURSELF FROM THEM--"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you," (2 Corinthians 6:17)
REPROVE THEM--"And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them." (Ephesians 5:11)
TURN AWAY FROM THEM--"Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." (2 Timothy 3:5)
REBUKE THEM--"...rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;" (Titus 1:13)
REJECT THEM--"A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject;" (Titus 3:10)
WITHDRAW FROM THEM--"...we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us." (2 Thessalonians 3:6)
HAVE NO COMPANY WITH THEM--"And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed." (2 Thessalonians 3:14)
TRY THEM--"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." (1 John 4:1)
RECEIVE THEM NOT--"If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds." (2 John 1:10-11)

"Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days." (James 5:1-3).

prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James
5:16). Because our mission is one of truth at any
cost, it has been met with a great deal of resistance and hatred by those who
wish we would just fade into the sunset. Much of our initial support and encouragement
disappeared when we were faithful to God in exposing their "sacred cows"
and idols. As we continue to thrust the sword of the spirit into the heart of
darkness, we do not expect that we will get any better treatment from the enemies
camp. Please pray for us!
We also need your financial support. Sword of the Spirit APOLOGETICS is a "non profit" ministry, and this title is well suited to our history. We are "tentmaker" apologists with full-time jobs and we have thus far been able to provide the necessary finances to keep the ministry going. But we desire to do so much more for the kingdom of God in spreading truth and alerting the church to the poisons that are destroying it! And the costs of spreading this message with church group meetings, multimedia presentations, newsletters, postal expenses, printing costs, research materials, etc. will continue to grow.
God has been faithful in providing the necessary funds for the last five years and we know He will continue to do so until His purpose has been fulfilled. He seems to impress our financial needs on the hearts of godly people at just the right time, and they continue to respond!
