In other articles of APOLOGETICS, we examine many similarities between Mormonism, Masonry, and witchcraft. In our observation of the various temple and Satanic symbols, secret names, occultic rituals, and blasphemous pagan doctrines involved, many of our readers have been very surprised! I expect the same reaction from this article.

In our study of the first Mormon Temple Endowment presentation entitled the Creation Drama, we discovered their blasphemous "exalted man-god" theology. Through their admiration and identification with the "Mystery Religions, pagan rivals of Christianity," the Mormon authorities have unintentionally revealed their true colors to the world.

The two primary objectives of Satan were very clearly attempted by him in the Creation Drama: deify man and humanize God! The Mormon authorities and temple workers who are responsible for teaching these Satanic doctrines will certainly have a lot of explaining to do when they stand before Him who has proclaimed, "...before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me." ¹

As we examine the Garden of Eden Drama and identify the evil Mormon god who controls the initiate, we will understand more clearly the advice given to Mr. William Schnoebelen (former Mormon, Mason, and Witchcraft High Priest): "...as a student of witchcraft, I had been told that Mormonism, in the temple at least, taught high-level occult science. Years before I ever encountered Mormon missionaries, my witchcraft mentor, the head of all Druidic witches in North America, told me that the highest form of witchcraft was practiced in the Mormon temples." ²

To examine the ceremony effectively, it is important to place the drama performers and their actual words and deeds in proper context. It is equally important to have access to accurate and verifiable source material. The best way for an investigator to make an honest judgment of truth is to get his information from first-hand sources. For these reasons, I have used a transcription of a tape-recording made during an actual Endowment Ceremony in the Los Angeles Temple. I will show the exact wording and context involved in the ceremony.

The transcript came from a pocket-sized tape recorder carried through the Endowment Ceremony by a regular patron of the church using his own temple recommend and identification card. Unknown to the greeters and acquaintances at the temple was the fact that the patron had been excommunicated (at his own request) several months earlier. In spite of the well-known Mormon claim of divinely inspired temple security, "...not one person in the temple appeared the slightest bit spiritually or supernaturally alerted to the presence among them of one whom they classify as an 'apostate' and a 'son of perdition.'" ³

My First Impression...

When I first read the Endowment transcript, I was amazed at Satan's ability to lead men into error and darkness. My heart was grieved over the obvious spiritual blindness of those involved with the ceremony. I pondered the destiny of those unregenerate participants who, through the lusts of their own hearts, have "...changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen." (Romans 1:25)

As much as I dislike throwing salt into an open wound, I believe it is absolutely necessary to expose the dark Mormon temple to the world. I realize that a vast majority of active temple Mormons who read these articles will discount the warnings as "just another Mormon-bashing attack." After all, it is much easier to reduce one's internal stress and guilt by simply blaming someone else.

Other Mormons have been so completely indoctrinated with Satanic lies that they no longer have the ability to change, regardless of the facts presented to them.

There is a third group of Mormons, however, who simply do not know what they are doing. It is to that group of people that this article is dedicated. I pray that all who have the courage to read this message will seek their hearts and begin to reason with a logical mind. In the words of Dr. Charles Crane, author of Ashamed of Joseph, "I firmly believe that if you can start a Mormon thinking, you are half way to bringing them out of Mormonism." ⁴

I believe the primary reason for the spiritual condition of the Mormon Church rests entirely on the shoulders of the Christian church. We should be embarrassed and ashamed! If we had been doing our jobs from the beginning, the Mormon Church would not be in existence today, and these religious charlatans would be out of business!

There are millions of Mormons who just do not know what is going on inside the temple. According to Chuck Sackett (former Veil Worker in the Los Angeles Temple and performer of over 1,000 temple ordinances, including 150 Endowments):

"The most recent figures released by Mormon leaders indicate that three out of every four Mormons have never participated in these rituals. They have been subjected to intensive propaganda from their leaders, telling them of the sacred, holy nature of the temple and the great blessings to be obtained therein. [It] is essential for all those non-temple participating Mormons to recognize these occultic rites for what they are..." ⁵

It Is Not Too Late...

There is still hope for the many Mormons who are in the early stages of their cultic involvement; Satan will not get them all. Mormon theological errors are so obvious and numerous that they cannot escape the scrutiny of those Mormons who are honestly seeking after God. This article is dedicated to their enlightenment and eventual salvation.

As we enter the Garden of Eden Drama in the Mormon Temple, we find the participants seated. Elohim has already given Jehovah the directive to escort Adam and Eve inside. Elohim then informs Adam that the earth was created for his benefit and that all things are to be under his dominion. The command to multiply and replenish the earth follows. Adam is warned that he is not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Elohim then tells the couple that he and Jehovah are going away but will visit them again with instructions. After their departure, the first person on the scene is Lucifer. Follow this scene closely as I present the verbatim transcript of activities. APOLOGETICS comments are in red brackets [].

The Garden of Eden Drama

[Mormon authorities don't waste much time in initiating errors. In this case, they started with the title! Most ethnologists agree that the Garden of Eden was located in southwest Asia in Babylonia (at the juncture of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers before they enter the Persian Gulf). Mormon doctrine, however, has brought the garden to America! Mormon Apostle Bruce McConkie stated, "This glorious garden was located on the American continent 'where the City Zion, or the New Jerusalem, will be built.'" ⁶ "...it included the place now known as Spring Hill, Davies County, Missouri." ⁷ This concept is almost as believable as their teachings concerning the ark! According to The Juvenile Instructor, "...in or near Carolina Noah built his remarkable ship, in which he, his family, and all kinds of animals lived a few days over one year without coming out of it." ⁸]

LUCIFER: (Wearing flowing crimson velvet robe with tunic and apron underneath) Well, Adam, you have a new world here.

ADAM: A new world?

LUCIFER: Yes, a new world, patterned after the old one where we used to live.

[At this point, Lucifer has begun to teach the Mormon doctrine of pre-existence. Brigham Young was a very good student! Lest you be mistaken, this is not the Adam of the Bible. The Mormon Adam is actually Michael, the Archangel. Young even made Adam into a god and preached it with force for over 25 years: "Now hear it, O inhabitants of the earth, Jew and Gentile, Saint and sinner! When our father Adam came into the garden of Eden, he came into it with a celestial body, and brought Eve, one of his wives, with him. He helped to make and organize this world. He is Michael, the Archangel, the Ancient of Days! about whom holy men have written and spoken--He is our Father and our God, and the only God with whom we have to do." ⁹]

ADAM: I know nothing about any other world.

LUCIFER: Oh, I see, your eyes are not yet opened. You have forgotten everything. You must eat some of the fruit of this tree. Adam, here is some of the fruit of that tree. It will make you wise.

[Memory loss between the spirit world and the fleshly "tabernacle" is a doctrine of the Mormon church that I am sure is so embarrassing to them that they would like to keep it hidden. Mormon Apostle Orson Pratt, however, explained the doctrine: "When all these spirits were sent forth from the eternal worlds, they were, no doubt, not infants; but when they entered the infant tabernacle, they were under the necessity, the same as our Lord and Savior, of being compressed, or diminished in size so that their spirits could be enclosed in infant tabernacles." 10 "...when this spirit was compressed, so as to be wholly enclosed in an infant tabernacle, it had a tendency to suspend memory;...So it is with man. When he enters a body of flesh, his spirit is so compressed and contracted in infancy that he forgets his former existence,..." ¹¹]

ADAM: I will not partake of that fruit. Father told me that in the day that I should partake of it I should surely die.

LUCIFER: You shall not surely die, but shall be as the gods, knowing good and evil.

[Lucifer is now dictating Mormon doctrine again. Satanic polytheism (plurality of gods) is a well-known feature of the Mormon church. Apostle Orson Pratt declared: "...the number of Gods is infinite. If we should take a million of worlds like this and number their particles, we should find that there are more Gods than there are particles of matter in those worlds." ¹² Apparently, Pratt could not comprehend the simple words of God Himself in Isaiah 44:6, "I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God."]

ADAM: I will not partake of it.

LUCIFER: Oh, you will not? Well, we shall see. (Lucifer walks over to Eve)  Eve, here is some of the fruit of that tree. It will make you wise. It is delicious to the taste and quite desirable.

EVE:  Who are you?

LUCIFER:  I am your brother.

[We read in Malachi 3:6, "For I am the Lord, I change not;..." Mormon leaders, however, would rather believe the Father of Lies as dictated by him in this Garden of Eden statement. Brigham Young took the bait "hook, line, and sinker"! According to Young, "The greatest intelligence in existence can continually ascend to greater heights of perfection." ¹³ Wilford Woodruff, 4th President of the Mormon Church declared, "God himself is increasing and progressing in knowledge, power, and dominion, and will do so, worlds without end." ¹⁴]

EVE: Is there no other way?

LUCIFER: There is no other way.

EVE: Then I will partake.

LUCIFER: There, now go and get Adam to partake.

EVE: Adam, here is some of the fruit of that tree. It is delicious to the taste and very desirable.

ADAM: Eve, do you know what fruit that is?

EVE: Yes, it is the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

ADAM: I cannot partake of it. Do you know that Father commanded us not to partake of the fruit of that tree?

EVE: Do you intend to obey all of Father's commandments?

ADAM: Yes, all of them.

EVE: Do you not recollect that Father commanded us to multiply and replenish the earth? I have partaken of this fruit and by so doing shall be cast out, and you will be left a lone man in the Garden of Eden.

ADAM: Eve, I see that this must be so. I will partake that man may be.

LUCIFER: (as he walks into the scene) That is right.

EVE: It is better for us to pass through sorrow that we may know the good from the evil. (she then turns to Lucifer) I know thee now. Thou art Lucifer, he who was cast out of Father's presence for rebellion.

[Satan, a liar from the beginning, has just convinced Adam and Eve that they are doing the right thing. Unfortunately, he also convinced the founding fathers of the Mormon Church of the same thing. They teach that the fall brought mortality and physical death, but not a sinful nature.

The Mormon authorities don't seem to understand that God tempts no man (James 1:13-14), and Scripture tells us that man is basically a sinner (Romans 8:5-8; 1 Corinthians 2:14). What the Christian understands as an original sin and disobedience leading to human depravity, the Mormon believes to be a blessing and necessity!

Mormon Apostle John A. Widtsoe stated, "In Joseph Smith's philosophy,...Their act was to be acclaimed. They were the greatest figures of the ages. The so-called 'fall' became a necessary, honorable act in carrying out the plan of the Almighty." ¹⁵ Joseph Fielding Smith, who became the 10th President of the Church, concurred: "The fall of man came as a blessing in disguise,...I never speak of the part Eve took in this fall as a sin, nor do I accuse Adam of a sin....it is not always a sin to transgress a law....We can hardly look upon anything resulting in such benefits as a sin." ¹⁶

Now listen to the words of Sterling Sill, Assistant to the Council of the Twelve Apostles: "Adam fell, but he fell in the right direction. He fell toward the goal. Adam fell, but he fell upward." ¹⁷]

LUCIFER: You are beginning to see already.

ADAM: What is that apron you have on?

LUCIFER: It is an emblem of my power and Priesthoods.

"In this third degree of Wicca, the apron serves a practical, magickal purpose. In this degree, through a bizarre ceremony called the Great Rite, one is initiated into the principle of sex magick (tantra yoga). The apron is often used during this sort of ritual to help contain and channel sexual energy. This is why it covers the genital area....it serves rather like putting a lid on a teakettle to help bring it to a boil. This channeling raises the Kundalini force and supposedly produces enlightenment when the Kundalini serpent strikes upwards and 'bites' you metaphysically at the base of the brain.

"...just as the stole is the emblem of authority in the Catholic Priesthood, so the green apron is the emblem of Lucifer's authority. In every Satanic group I knew of, the hierophant (High Priest) always wore a green apron, usually of the finest silk or satin." ¹⁸

You may wonder why the color of the Mormon apron is green. Most movie scenes depicting Satanic rites show the actors wearing red or black. But the colors are carefully planned and highly significant. The lower degrees wear black, the magi wear scarlet, and the higher degree of magister wear white (as in the Masonic Lodge). But green is reserved for Lucifer or his presiding hierophant. No one else would dare wear it. Green relates qabalistically to Venus (the planet known as the "Morning Star") and is sacred to Lucifer. Alchemically, Lucifer is related to copper. Just like Lucifer, copper is corrupt within and beautiful without, and turns green when it tarnishes.]

ADAM: Priesthoods?

LUCIFER: Yes, Priesthoods.

ADAM: I am looking for Father to come down to give us further instructions.

LUCIFER: Oh, you are looking for Father to come down, are you?

ELOHIM: (from a distance) Jehovah, we promised Adam that we would visit him and give him further instructions.

JEHOVAH: We will go down, Elohim.

ADAM: I hear their voices, they are coming.

LUCIFER: See, you are naked. Take some fig leaves and make you aprons. Father will see your nakedness. Quick! Hide!

ADAM: Come, let us hide.

NARRATOR: Brethren and sisters, put on your aprons.

(At this point the movie stops while all patrons in the audience remove the bright green satin aprons from their packages of temple clothing and tie them around their waists.) ¹⁹

[What could possibly be going through the minds of the temple patrons at this point? It has just been explained to them that the apron is an emblem of Lucifer's power and Priesthoods. Lucifer said it himself. Twice! And now the patrons are told to put on the very same aprons, and they do it with complete obedience!

William Schnoebelen (also a former warlock with the Church of Satan) gives his impression of the event: "All this confirmed what I'd been told years before by my Druidic mentor. In fact, it confirmed the whole metaphysical trap Satan had laid for me. I had joined the Church not only because I believed the Mormon missionaries, but also because I believed it would lead me deeper into occult experience. For a year I had anticipated receiving my temple endowments. Now as I saw Lucifer with his priesthood apron--and as I received my own apron--I was convinced that Christianity reached its highest level of witchcraft in Mormonism. Jesus, I had been taught as a witch, was a Medium of the highest order, who worked miracles by magick. Now as I saw the priesthood of Lucifer transferred to Adam in the apron, I knew it was true." ²⁰]
