WHY THE NAME LUCIFER LINK?
"... whosoever heareth the
sound of the trumpet,
and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away,
his blood shall be upon his own head."
(Ezek
33:4)
You may be wondering why Luciferlink is part of the web address for Sword of the Spirit Apologetics. We have received many comments about the name, and several of our Christian readers have expressed alarm. I'd like to explain our choice of names and, hopefully, alleviate any further concerns.
During the early phases of our ministry and research into cultic phenomena, some alarming things started to happen. We began observing some very startling similarities and parallels between what we were witnessing in the cultic arena and what we found with some doctrines and practices that are taking place in orthodox Christianity. In addition, we discovered a common language, identical catch phrases, and some very shocking similarities between groups that are non-Christian--primarily among the Mormons, the Masonic Lodge, and Witchcraft. The very close relationship between the various cults and the occult (and in many cases the IDENTICAL rituals and doctrines) brought us to the following conclusion: THEY HAVE THE SAME AUTHOR OF DEATH! His name is Lucifer, Son of the Morning, also known as Satan or the devil.
The name LUCIFER LINK was chosen as a heading in several of our early newsletters that alerted our readers of the LINK between LUCIFER and those groups that shared the same vocabulary, practices, rituals, oaths, history, theology, and eventual spiritual death and total separation from God.
There was another good reason to use the name for the website. It does a good job of attracting the attention of those who are searching the word Lucifer on the web. By coming to this website, they are being exposed to the Gospelperhaps for the very first time! We sincerely pray that they will read the articles and come to the conclusion that eternal damnation can be avoided ONLY by accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior!
"PRAISE
ye the Lord, O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good:
for his mercy endureth forever."
